Alpinestars presents the second generation of its neck protection, BNS Tech Carbon:

The BNS (Bionic Neck Support) Tech Carbon activates when the rider's helmet contacts the chassis during a fall, providing a clean and solid surface that immediately channels harmful and compressive impact energy away from the neck. It is designed to help prevent neck injuries and minimize the risk of collateral damage.
This second generation features a new design, a revised chassis construction, and improved ergonomics.

• Rear stabiliser promoting progressive force increase (PFR) and dissipating extreme energy loads away from the spine through the back and shoulders
• The chassis construction promotes interaction with the helmet during impact

• Quick-release fastening system at the front for easy on and off
• Padding made from compressed EVA foam to distribute impact force over the largest possible surface area
• SAS (Size Adapter System) size adjustment system with supplied adapters
  
• Foam and laminated lycra padding kit: adjustable and interchangeable EVA foam pads ensure and facilitate compatibility between this protection and other body protection systems
• Thin retention straps to be worn over or under the jersey
