The design of the Pro-Race silencer was inspired by the early prototypes made for Moto GP.
The Pro-Race silencers are constructed by assembling a conical-shaped part (the main body of the silencer) with a cylindrical end section of Ø98mm, made of titanium or nichrome (a stainless steel alloy). The silencers are attached to the motorcycle using brackets welded to the main body; their conical design allows for a reduction in size and weight, but as it also reduces the overall volume of the exhaust, this limits noise damping, meaning that certain motorcycles cannot be equipped due to development and noise issues.
The Pro-Race silencer is approved with the noise reducer.
