The revolutionary autonomous starting hook from ProTaper (SELA) addresses a problem faced by all motocross riders, regardless of their skill level: adjusting a starting device alone is at best awkward and at worst impossible. With its patent-pending self-engaging rotary dial, SELA can be easily adjusted without any assistance, giving riders the freedom to practice starts and line up for races on their own.
During a start, SELA allows for temporary compression of the motorcycle's front suspension, reducing its tendency to wheelie on acceleration. This optimises rear wheel traction, enabling the rider to be more aggressive with the throttle and launch the start in a straight line with better control.
Its unique and modular design allows SELA to be installed on most modern large motocross bikes. A double-hinge receiver ring enables quick and convenient installation without removing the front wheel or fork.
