The RACETEC RR benefits from the technologies, materials, advanced processes, and expertise acquired by METZELER over the past few years. It features new profiles, structural materials, compounds, and tread.
The main advantages of the RACETEC RR are:
Grip in all conditions, both on the road and on the track, thanks to the different compounds offered.
Precision and stability, essential characteristics both in corners and in a straight line, due to the tyre's ability to absorb the irregularities of the asphalt.
It is worth noting that the rear tyre of the RACETEC RR is dual-compound, featuring two compounds, thus capable of providing excellent grip in corners as well as very good stability at high speeds.
Unlike its predecessor, all sizes and compounds of the RACETEC RR have a speed rating of W in parentheses.
The arrangement of the central longitudinal grooves of the tyre is designed to generate a compact tread in the central part to optimise straight-line stability.
The position of the transverse grooves offers grip in corners regardless of the asphalt, while minimising the effects of wear.
The RACETEC RR will be available in K1, K2, and K3 compounds. Riders will easily differentiate them thanks to the labels affixed to the sidewall of the tyre and the coloured lines adorning the tread.
K1 - SOFT in soft compound. It features a label on the sidewall with K1 written in blue and a blue line on the tread.
K2 - MEDIUM in medium hardness compound. It features a label on the sidewall with K2 written in green and a green line on the tread.
K3 - HARD is the hardest compound. It is distinguished by a label on the sidewall with K3 written in yellow and a yellow line on the tread.
