Comes in 3 versions: Standard, GT for the new BMW R1200 RT and Trail.
- XST sipe technology (grooves to reduce irregular wear) ensures that MICHELIN Pilot Road 4 tyres have a shorter braking distance on wet surfaces than any other tyre in its category. The MICHELIN Pilot Road 4 has a 17% shorter braking distance on wet surfaces than its nearest competitor. The difference is even greater on very slippery wet surfaces (24% shorter braking distance), for example on white markings and pedestrian crossings. Michelin gives you a safer and less stressful riding experience.
- Keep your tyres for longer and reduce costs with 20% more mileage than the MICHELIN Pilot Road 3 tyre, thanks to 2CT technology (harder compound in the core than on the shoulder).
- A silica-based rubber compound designed for MICHELIN Pilot Road 4 tyres. Its compounds were especially designed to provide excellent grip at -5°C on dry roads or 2° on wet roads, and at 45°C on various road surfaces, including white markings and pedestrian crossings, for a safer and more enjoyable riding experience.
- The tread design varies between the core and shoulder, in order to optimise grip, depending on the riding conditions and style.
- The revolutionary "MICHELIN 2AT" technology offers improved stability for GT motorcycles, even when fully loaded, for a safer experience in straight lines and on corners.
- Homologated design, fitted as standard to the BMW R 1200 RT (2014 MICHELIN Pilot Road 4 GT model).
Handling, braking, comfort, etc. The tyres you choose affect numerous aspects of your machine's behaviour, whether on the road, the racetrack or off-roading. Therefore it is essential that you carefully choose the type that fits your needs best.

- Diameter: expressed in inches, e.g. 17 or 19
- Load index: the maximum load that the tyre can withstand
- Speed index: the maximum speed that the tyre can withstand
- M/C indicator: tyre use, M/C for motorcycles
- With or without inner tube TL (tubeless) for tyres without inner tubes, TT (tubetype) with innertube
