FM579/04 Air Filter by BMC

The BMC FM579/04 air filter replaces the original reference and is designed for roadster motorcycles. Its washable and reusable cotton monobloc construction makes maintenance easy while helping to keep the intake clean and protected.

Design and Materials

• The low-viscosity oil-impregnated cotton filter media is washable and reusable to extend the filter's lifespan.
• The epoxy mesh resists gasoline vapours and oxidation to preserve the filter structure over time.

Installation and Fitting

• The monobloc design without a gasket simplifies installation and limits components that may deteriorate.
• Cleaning with specific BMC maintenance products simplifies filter upkeep.
• Sold individually.
• Original reference 110290011.

Practicality and Features

• The washable and reusable filter eliminates the need for systematic replacement after each service.
• The Standard version integrates with the replacement of the original air filter to maintain a configuration suitable for road use.

Usage and Performance

• The optimised design limits pressure drops compared to traditional paper solutions to enhance air circulation at the intake.
• The balance between filtration, retention, and permeability helps keep the intake system healthy and the engine protected.
