This part being universal, it may require adaptations
Brembo presents today a new evolution of the radial pump concept with the new 19RCS CORSA CORTA. This innovative radial master cylinder introduces numerous new features that incorporate, through the technical solutions adopted, multiple aspects of the pumps used in motorcycle Grand Prix.
The novelty of the 19RCS CORSA CORTA lies in the possibility offered to the rider to adapt the braking point position to their preferred riding style, thanks to a slider located on the upper part of the pump and therefore easily accessible.
One pump, three modes: Through an eccentric-type device, the slider allows the selection among three different riding styles.
The PR 19 is recommended for motorcycles equipped with:
choose the spacing of your brake master cylinder (second value): 16, 18 or 20
These figures correspond to the spacing value between the brake lever pivot and the contact point on the piston.
The shorter the distance, the more powerful the braking will be, and vice versa.
The ease of switching from one braking type to another allows for varying the riding sensation by choosing from one of the three modes and changing the configuration immediately and linearly.
The 19RCS CORSA CORTA from Brembo also includes the RCS (Ratio Click System). Introduced 10 years ago on the Brembo 19RCS radial pump, it allows for adjusting the pump spacing to 18 or 20, simply by rotating the adjustment piece located on the front of the brake lever 180° using a flat screwdriver, with an eccentric-type system (red when positioned at 18 mm and black at 20 mm) that moves the distance between the piston axis and the lever pivot by 2 mm: the result is a different distribution of braking force without affecting its overall power.
The pump body is made of forged aluminium, machined using 5-axis CAM technology. For the finish, a hard anodisation was chosen, providing the pump body with particularly high wear resistance as well as optimal component sliding.
The piston and seals are identical to those used in motorcycle racing championships, as are the seats of the purging and feeding system, which, being characterised by an inclination greater than 30°, facilitate the purging of the pump.
The entire brake lever can be replaced without having to disassemble the RCS (Ratio Click System) from the pump, meaning that the adjustments made during assembly in the Brembo Racing workshop remain unchanged.
