The fork protectors safeguard the forks, which are the first to be impacted in a fall. The crash protectors feature an aerodynamic shape with a removable cap to conceal the fittings and provide a clean finish. The HDPE engine cover wraps around the vulnerable areas of the casing to reduce the impact of slides; on certain "Race" models, a replaceable slider facilitates repairs after ground contact.
