Magnum Shielding Cable Kit (manufacturer part no. 486422) — the set designed to equip a 2" ape-hanger or riser handlebar on road/touring machines. This kit includes the cables, hoses, and accessories necessary to maintain crisp controls and controlled braking while adopting a customised look.
Designed for handlebars from 38 to 43 cm (15"‑17"), this pack comes in a black finish with vinyl sleeves and polished components before plating for a neat aesthetic at the controls.
- Contents: throttle and idle cables or pre-wired throttle-by-wire extensions, clutch cable or hydraulic line, XR DOT brake hoses, copper washers and fasteners, fully finished wiring extensions for indicators and switches.
- Hoses: stainless steel braided construction, abrasion-resistant nylon sleeve — designed to enhance durability and braking response. Compliant with DOT FMVSS‑106 specifications.
- Collectors: some kits use a fully brazed construction and -3 AN fittings for simplified installation.
- ABS Compatibility: designed for use with ABS by reusing the existing lower brake line.
