Magnum Shielding Cable Kit (Manufacturer Ref: 489882)
Specifically designed for the installation of "ape hanger" handlebars or with 2" risers, this Magnum XR kit includes everything essential to properly and safely reinstall your controls. It combines throttle cables (or pre-wired throttle-by-wire extensions), clutch cable or hydraulic line, DOT XR brake lines, connectors, and all necessary hardware — including copper washers and -3 AN fittings. Chrome finish and black sheathing for a neat integration on Road/Touring machines.
- Handlebar Height: compatible 38–43 cm (15"–17").
- Material: vinyl housings, stainless steel braided lines, and abrasion-resistant nylon sheathing.
- Compliance: brake lines conform to DOT FMVSS-106 specifications.
- Finish: polished chrome on fittings, black wiring for an aesthetic and discreet appearance.
- Contents: cables, lines, connectors (if applicable), hardware, turn signal extensions, and switches.
The cables are designed for low control effort and maximum efficiency, meeting or exceeding OEM specifications in terms of fit and durability. Ideal kit for restoring or modernising controls on Road Glide, Freewheeler, and other recent Harley-Davidson touring models.
