The DMC Gen2 is a major improvement: a simplified and ultra-fast pairing process, as well as crystal-clear wideband intercom sound.
Simpler and faster pairing process: pairing happens at lightning speed. A group of 10 communicators can be paired in just a few seconds. We have also simplified the process by removing the group administrator function. With the DMC Gen2, pairing has never been easier or faster.
Wideband intercom: the DMC Gen2 offers exceptional clarity in wideband intercom voice quality. Expect sound quality comparable to that of a good video conference.
Your device is equipped with the most advanced Bluetooth 5.2 chip on the market. It allows for the integration of the latest audio technologies and significantly improves intercom quality. Bluetooth 5.2 is also more efficient and secure, offering faster pairing capabilities and better battery life.
No cable is needed: the software update is done wirelessly using your mobile phone. Download the Cardo Connect app on your phone, go to Settings, select your device, and click on the latest available software update.
You can also update the software via a USB cable on your computer. Download the Cardo Update app from the Cardo website, connect your device, and follow the instructions.
Installing the latest version of the software helps avoid bugs and access new features. We recommend updating your device before first use.
No cellular coverage is required.
Can I share my music with other users or other Cardo users?
You can share music with any Cardo device of the same generation: PACKTALK PRO, PACKTALK EDGE, PACKTALK NEO, PACKTALK CUSTOM, FREECOM 4X, FREECOM 2X, Spirit HD, and Spirit.
Your device will not be able to share music with products from previous generations (PACKTALK Bold/Black/Slim/Ducati/Louis, PACKTALK, SMARTPACK, SMARTH, FREECOM 2/4/1+/2+/4+, G-line, Q-line, SRC-line, SHO-1).

The HJC-PACKTALK is fully compatible with all DMC products. It also connects to all Cardo devices via standard Bluetooth pairing. G and Q devices must be in phone pairing mode before starting the pairing process.
The HJC-PACKTALK is only compatible with certain HJC helmets: RPHA (31, 60, 71, 71c, 91, 91c), i (71, 91), and f (31, 71, 71c).
Of course. All Cardo devices are waterproof. This means you can ride in the rain while enjoying optimal communication.
Your device is equipped with fast charging. You will get 2 hours of talk time after just 20 minutes of charging. A full charge takes 2 hours.
The HJC-PACKTALK comes with a three-year warranty.
No: do not attempt to disassemble or replace the battery yourself. Doing so may damage the system's waterproofing.
However, you can try the following: plug your device into the charger and let it charge for at least 4 consecutive hours. If that doesn't work, try a different wall charger and USB cable. If the device still does not hold a charge, please contact support.
Unlike traditional integrated radio communication systems, the HJC-PACKTALK can be easily installed on compatible helmets, either at home or at your dealer. Watch the installation video to see how simple it is.
Your Cardo device is equipped with a ride-and-charge feature, allowing you to connect the device to an external battery or motorcycle power source and continue using it well beyond the standard battery life. Simply plug your device into the power source, and that's it.
We recommend not leaving your device unused or stored for more than 3 months without recharging it. Be sure to charge your device at least once every 3 months for a full 4 hours to ensure maximum battery life.

As with vehicle fuel consumption figures, the range indicated in the product description corresponds to the maximum range tested under optimal conditions. Actual performance may vary depending on obstacles in the line of sight, such as hills, trees, and buildings, as well as wireless interference such as mobile phone base stations and power lines.

Sound quality is optimal when the speakers are positioned directly in front of your ear canal. Ensure they are correctly positioned in your helmet by following the steps below.
1. With the helmet on your head, slide a finger inside the helmet and press against the side of the helmet where your ear is located. This is where the speakers should be positioned.
2. Remove the helmet while keeping your finger in that spot. Check that the speakers are indeed in that position.
3. Ensure that the speakers are placed as close to your ears as possible so that you can feel them. If necessary, use the provided Velcro reinforcement pads behind the speakers to bring them closer to your ears.
4. Since every head is different, the ear cavities of your helmet may not be optimally positioned. In this case, consider placing the speakers outside the ear cavities of the helmet, directly in front of your ears.
5. You can choose your preferred sound profile in the Cardo Connect app.
