TOURING Screen (+7 cm) by Puig
The TOURING screen (+7 cm) Puig replaces the original windscreen of the Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250. Its wider design enhances the aerodynamic protection for the rider, while its smoked finish maintains the visual integration of the motorcycle.
Design and Materials
- Made from 4 mm CN material, it combines lightweight and durability for road trips.
- The UV protection helps preserve the screen during regular outdoor use.
Installation and Fitting
- It replaces the original windscreen while retaining the height adjustment integrated into the Pan America 1250, allowing for screen position adaptation to riding.
- Its dimensions of 470 mm wide x 575 mm high make it easy to check the size before replacement.
- The aerodynamic study provided compares this screen to the original windscreen to present the results obtained in a virtual wind tunnel.
Usage and Performance
- Its width, greater than that of the standard screen, improves aerodynamic protection for the forearms and back.
- The claimed aerodynamic protection increase of 60% reduces the air pressure experienced by the rider by 1.17 kilograms, helping to limit fatigue during road trips.
Safety and Standards
- Its ABE certification provides a regulatory framework suitable for road use.
- Its rounded edges comply with German TÜV regulations to enhance rider safety.
