The rings ensure the seal between the piston and the cylinder liner, contributing to compression and controlling oil consumption. When overhauling or replacing the piston, checking and replacing the rings is an essential step to restore clean combustion and smooth operation without excessive smoke.
Before installation, check the gap in the piston groove and the internal condition of the cylinder (scratches, ovalization). If you are unsure of the exact model or required diameter, take measurements or have it checked by a workshop. Professional installation is recommended if you lack mechanical experience.
This VERTEX piston ring set is aimed at urban riders looking for a compatible and easy-to-integrate replacement part during engine maintenance.
