This part being universal, it may require adaptations
This high-precision inductive speed sensor is an accessory designed for the HealTech ARA-1 (Advanced Rider Assistant) security system.
The principle of Traction Control To secure your acceleration, the ARA system must continuously compare the speed of the front wheel with that of the rear wheel. If there is a difference (the rear wheel is spinning faster), it indicates a loss of grip. On modern motorcycles, this information comes from the ABS. On older or track bikes (without ABS), "eyes" need to be added to the system.
Function of the WSSR The reference HT-ARA-WSSR is a sensor designed to read the rotation speed of the wheel (typically installed on the rear wheel). It detects the passage of metallic targets (such as brake disc bolts or a specific tone disc).
Robust and Precise Designed to withstand the harshest conditions (water, mud, brake heat), this sensor is completely waterproof and shielded against electromagnetic interference. It ensures reliable signal reading so that the Traction Control can react within milliseconds.
Key Features
High Sensitivity: Detects rotation even at low speeds.
Versatile: Can read on screw heads, disc bolts, or notched discs.
Essential (Non-ABS): Allows classic or track motorcycles to be equipped with modern anti-skid technology.
Durable: Moulded sensor, waterproof (IP68) and reinforced cable.
Manufacturer Reference: HT-ARA-WSSR
Type: Inductive speed sensor (Wheel Speed Sensor)
Typical application: Rear Wheel for reading on disc bolts
Connector: Waterproof 3-pin connector (Compatible with ARA harness)
Sealing: IP68
Warranty: 2 years
1x WSSR speed sensor (with cable and connector)
Basic mounting kit (Rilsans)
Specific Use: This sensor is unnecessary if your motorcycle is already equipped with ABS (the ARA system connects to the original sensors). It is intended for motorcycles WITHOUT ABS or for "Custom" projects.
Installation: This product requires the fabrication or adaptation of a small mounting bracket (not supplied with this reference alone) to position the sensor facing the disc bolts or the target.
Complete System: To function, it must be connected to the main module HealTech ARA-1.
