Designed specifically for the Kawasaki ZX-6R Ninja'23, the Downforce Race side wings have been developed using Puig's experience of top-level competition, such as the MotoGP and WorldSBK championships, and the latest aerodynamic innovations. Their aggressive lines visually extend the Ninja's fairing, giving it a more racing and competitive look while improving its dynamic handling.
The shapes of the fins are designed to channel the air that impacts the front of the bike, generating an additional load, known as downforce, on the front wheel.
This provides greater stability at high speeds, avoids the dreaded shimmies, and offers greater stability when braking and changing direction. It also prevents the front wheel from lifting during powerful acceleration, producing an anti-wheelie effect.
They are available in several colours: gloss black, matt black, green and carbon look.
Designed and manufactured at Puig's facilities next to the Catalunya-Barcelona international circuit using the very latest technology, they are made from strong, lightweight 4mm-thick CN acrylic and feature 2mm-thick metal supports with an anti-corrosion coating in a discreet textured black finish.
They are made up of two parts that extend to the sides to receive the impact of the air and generate the downforce effect due to the air pressure caused by their shape and position.
Their total dimensions are: 200 mm wide and 220 mm high.
They are very simple to install, do not affect any critical areas of the motorbike, and can be completed in 30 minutes without any mechanical knowledge.
