Usage and Adjustment
The rollers directly affect the behavior of the variator: under rotation, centrifugal force pushes the rollers outward, altering the effective diameter and the shift point. Choosing an appropriate weight allows for adjustments in engine revs, acceleration, and operating range. Lighter rollers promote higher revs, while heavier ones help maintain low engine speeds.
Simple replacement during a variator service — ideal for restoring original adjustment characteristics or fine-tuning your transmission's behavior without complex mechanical modifications.
