- Core: tightly wound steel braid to limit cable compression under load.
- Liner: pre-lubricated nylon inner sheath for smooth operation at the lever and handle.
- End fittings finish: "bird-caged" wires before crimping the terminals; pre-stretched and flared inner wire before terminal installation to enhance pull-out strength.
