Its aluminum core lightens the part, reduces inertia, and enhances lever feel. The floating mounting, complemented by new race-tested washers and hard anodized bolts, allows for better thermal expansion freedom between the disc and the bell.

The specific heat treatment of the steel band gives it a unique iridescence and, combined with the angled ventilation units arranged in series, improves the disc's ventilation. This design aims to limit temperature rises and reduce the risk of warping during intensive use.
