The Hit-Air RS1 CIRCUIT waistcoat provides protection for track-savvy motorcyclists with this RS-1 wired airbag model specially developed for use on the track.
Its aerodynamic fit makes it incomparably light, making it compatible with all the suits on the market, and its exceptional airbag cushion provides the rider with an unrivalled level of protection for the neck and cervical vertebrae.
The racing airbag operates via a mechanical release, but the traditional cable is located here at the rear of the waistcoat so that the rider retains plenty of freedom of movement without being impeded by it.
When the cable is activated, the 60 cc CO2 cartridge inflates the waistcoat between 150 and 190 milliseconds depending on the size of the vest.
The RS-1 also features internal back protection to reduce the risk of injury from the case and CO2 cartridge.
The height of the double cervical cushion can be adjusted. Finally, a Velcro belt allows you to adjust the size of the waistcoat.
How do you reset your airbag after a fall?
After a minor fall, you can reset the mechanism of your airbag waistcoat independently and in just a few moments. Here are the steps to follow:
How to clean your airbag vest
We recommend that you store and maintain your equipment with the utmost care to ensure that it lasts as long as possible.
We recommend that you clean it regularly with a soft, damp brush or use a sponge with a little soapy water to prevent stubborn stains from becoming deeply embedded in the fabric, and dry it on a hanger. Under no circumstances should our products be put in the washing machine, tumble dryer or immersed in water, as this could damage the metal components and the internal membrane and alter the effectiveness of the waistcoat. The airbag waistcoat, on the other hand, is made of synthetic material and is highly resistant to all types of weather.
Between uses, we recommend keeping your equipment in a dry place away from heat and humidity. It's also best to keep it in its protective cover, flat or hanging from a handlebar to avoid bending the inner tube.
We recommend having your airbag waistcoat serviced every 2 to 3 years depending on how often you use it. If the waistcoat is going to be triggered very frequently (several times a month), an annual check may be considered.
